2022 Kia Carnival teaser released, will be launched in the market with updated features and design

So far 3 cars of Kia Motors have been launched in India. The MPV segment includes the Kia Carnival which is a premium multi-purpose vehicle that offers plenty of space. Let us tell you that the next-generation model of this car is about to be unveiled and before that, the teaser for the 2022 Carnival has been released by the company. The bold design of the car can be clearly seen in this teaser, which shows that the car will be launched in the market with major updates. According to the information, this premium multi-purpose vehicle will be launched in the market with 7-seater and 8-seater options. Let us tell you that the teaser of this car has been shared with the Twitter handle of Kia Motors America and this car will be unveiled through a virtual event.

Kia Carnival engine

Kia is yet to reveal the specifications of the new Carnival, but it is expected to be offered with petrol and diesel engine options as well as some form of electrification. It is expected to be powered by an updated version of the existing 2.2L diesel engine in some markets. Additionally, it could get a new 280hp, 2.5-litre turbo-petrol engine from the Kia Sorento as well as a new 1.6L petrol hybrid engine.

Kia Carnival design

Let us tell you that you will get major design updates in the new Carnival, which will get sharp-looking LED headlamps, a silver accent C-pillar, power sliding rear doors, and a unique rear lighting bar. Let us tell you that this car can be kept 40 mm longer than the current model, while the wheelbase can be increased by 30 mm. Let us tell you that the company’s signature style tiger-nose grille can be offered to the customers at the front of this car.

Kia Carnival interior

The Kia Carnival gets a Mercedes-like panoramic digital console on the dashboard, which combines both a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a touchscreen infotainment system. It comes with sleek AC vents located horizontally, giving a cleaner and simpler look to the dashboard. Kia has also updated the climate control panel, which now gets touch-sensitive controls beneath the digital display and is equipped with separate climate control for the front passengers. The Kia Carnival offers second-row passengers new storage space at the base of the rear console with a back-of-seat USB charger, a storage net for devices and a tray for phones. The traditional drive select lever has been replaced with a rotary dial for shift-by-wire transmission.

Coming to the features of the Kia Carnival, the Kia DriveWise System features an array of advanced driver assistance technology to help keep you and your passengers safe. Blindspot and forward collision avoidance help to alert you to the presence of any obstacles around you so that you have time to react.

Kia Carnival Rivals

While the Carnival has no direct rival in India, it will remain above the Toyota Innova Crysta but below the Toyota Vellfire and the Mercedes-Benz V-Class.

Launch and price

The 2022 Kia Carnival is expected to be launched in 2022. Though the details are not yet known, it is likely to attract a premium in comparison to the current-gen Carnival, which is priced between Rs 24.95 lakh to Rs 33.95 lakh.
