Due to the increasing focus on electric, and hybrid cars in the global automobile market where interest in petrol and diesel cars is waning. This is the reason why many automobile companies are now focusing only on electric, and hybrid cars as their demand in the market are also increasing. However, due to better technology now electric, hybrid cars are competing with the performance of petrol and diesel cars and look better in some aspects. Coming to the Hyundai Nexo, the FCEV SUV was first showcased at the 2018 Consumer Electronics Show (2018). was displayed at CES). In India, it was showcased at the India-Korea Business Summit held in the year 2018. It is expected that the company can soon launch the Hyundai Nexo FCEV in India. Hyundai claims that its FCEV eco-friendly mobility solution purifies 99.9% of the air particulates passing through its air filters. The SUV recently covered 778 km on a tankful, which is the world record for the longest distance covered by any hydrogen-powered vehicle.

Hyundai Nexo Look

According to a report, the width of the Hyundai Nexo is 1860mm, length is 4670mm and height is 1630mm. To give more room inside the cabin, it has been given a 2790mm long wheelbase. The SUV comes with an autonomous driving function, which is similar to a blind spot monitor, but this feature is available only in the global market model.

Hyundai Nexo Powertrain & Speed

Hyundai Nexo has used a 40kW capacity battery pack and 95kW capacity fuel cell. The powerful electric motor of this car generates a power of about 161bhp and a torque of 395Nm. In this SUV, the company has given three hydrogen tanks, which have a total capacity of 156.6 litres. The hydrogen tank given in this SUV can be refilled in just 5 minutes. The company has used fuel cell technology in this SUV, which works well even in bad weather. This SUV can accelerate to 100 kmph in just 9.2 seconds, its top speed is 179 kmph.

With only two trims (Blue and Limited), it’s easy to get the features you want. Desirable features like heated front seats, power tailgate and wireless smartphone charging are standard. So is a 12.3-inch infotainment display through which you can access Android Auto™, Apple CarPlay® and navigation. Limited trim enhances your comfort with many small but thoughtful details. The power tailgate gets a hands-free function. Front seats add ventilation for hot weather.

Hyundai Nexo exterior

In many ways, the Nexo looks no different than your average road vehicle. This is because it is normal in every way but the way it is operated. The minimum ground clearance of 6.4 inches is better than a normal electric car, even if it is not enough for off-roading. The Nexo Blue side mirrors can be power-heated or power-folded. At night, puddle lights are seen helping people in and out of the vehicle. All exterior lights are LED, and high beam assist is standard. The Nexo Limited runs on large alloy wheels, which include rain-sensing wipers and roof rails.

The Nexo comes with heated and ventilated front seats, a sunroof, a powered tailgate, a digital driver display, a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system (with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay) and wireless charging.

Hyundai offers the international-spec Nexo with Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist, Forward Collision Assist and Park Assist.

Hyundai Nexo price

The Hyundai Nexo is one of the ‘Best in Class’ cars of Euro NCAP 2018. The FCEV SUV has received an overall 5-star safety rating in the larger off-road category. If the Hyundai Nexo will be launched in India, then its price can be between Rs 55-65 lakhs.
