Hyundai is the largest car manufacturer in India after Maruti. This company has a huge customer base in India. This company sells cars in almost every segment of India. Hyundai is going to launch many new SUVs in India in the coming time. One of these SUVs could also be the company’s most premium car, the Hyundai Palisade. The company has made this SUV for the left-hand drive market where full-size SUVs are very much liked. The company is currently studying in India to launch this car in India. Tarun Garg, Director of Sales and Marketing, Hyundai India confirmed that the company is looking to launch the car in India.
Palisade engine
The company will do this in India with two types of powertrains. Hyundai’s Palisade is likely to get a 2.2-litre turbocharged diesel unit that will be capable of producing 200 PS of maximum power and 440 Nm of peak torque. The Hyundai Palisade is also likely to get an all-wheel-drive system. Apart from this, Hyundai may also offer a 3.8-litre naturally-aspirated V6 engine that can produce a maximum output of 295 PS and a peak torque of 355 Nm. As for the transmission, it is expected to come mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox. The Hyundai Palisade Kia Palisade facelift will take on rivals like the Kia Telluride.
Hyundai Palisade Design
Looking at the new Hyundai Palisade, its front-end styling looks different from the old Hyundai Palisade. The old grill has made way for a much wider, larger and more upright ‘parametric’ grill design. The LED daytime running light signature of this car has been changed. It has been moved to the front corner. The headlights of the Hyundai Palisade have been updated a lot. The front bumper of the car has also been updated with a cleaner look. What sets the new Palisade apart from its former facelift counterpart is in the profile. New metallic wheels have been designed for it. Its rear hasn’t changed much. The re-profiled bumper and net diffuser section of the Hyundai Palisade have been slightly modified. The Hyundai Venue facelift that is expected to arrive in India soon is likely to get a similar grille design. There is also a Hyundai Palisade XRT variant, which adds a dark finish to the front and rear bumpers with new 20-inch metal wheels, roof rails and front grille, and faux skid plates.

Hyundai’s Palisade will be a premium SUV, which the company can launch with 7 or 8 seats. The sale of this car has started in the international market. The company will launch it next year i.e. in 2022. Its price will be between 35 to 45 lakh rupees. Its length is 4,980 mm, width is 1,975 mm and height is 1,750 mm. At the same time, its wheelbase is 2,900 mm.
Competition
In India, this car will compete with cars like MG Gloster and Toyota Fortuner. Let us tell you that the Kia Telluride is also a car based on the platform of Palisade. This is the flagship SUV of Kia.
Safety Features
Hyundai offers the US-spec Palisade with multiple safety and driver-assist systems that include blind-spot collision avoidance, driver attention alert, lane-keeping assist and more. It also gets ABS and disc brakes on four wheels, a tire pressure monitoring system, traction control and vehicle stability management. The Palisade also has seven airbags.
Hyundai Palisade Features
The Palisade has three rows of seats and has a capacity of up to eight. It is a premium offering with premium features like leather upholstery, dual-panel sunroof, power-folding and reclinable second and third-row seats, ventilated seats up front and second-row captain seat. The top-spec Palisade also gets a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with BlueLink connected car technology, wireless phone charger, multiple USB charging ports across all lines, 12-speaker Harman Kardon sound system. For driver’s convenience, this flagship also gets a heads-up display and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. It also gets a surround-view monitor for ease of navigating in tight spaces.
Launch and price
Hyundai Palisade can be launched in India in August 2022 this year. The Hyundai Palisade is expected to start at Rs. 40 lakhs (ex-showroom).
