SUVs are the craze these days and manufacturers are constantly rolling out updates to stay ahead of their rivals. Tata Motors has been quite proactive when it comes to updates in terms of safety features, which include various special editions like Dark Edition, Camo Edition and Kaziranga Edition, apart from silent feature updates across the model range. This time around, the Indian automobile brand has launched the jet version of the Harrier SUV. Tata Motors has added many special features to this luxurious midsize SUV, after which the Tata Harrier has become even more awesome.

Tata Harrier Engine & Transmission

The Tata Harrier SUV continues to be powered by the same 2.0-litre diesel engine that produces 168bhp of maximum power and 350Nm of peak torque. The engine of Tata Harrier comes mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission.

Tata Harrier Exterior

The Jet Edition line-up features a unique exterior colour – Starlight – a dual-tone combination of an earthy bronze body and platinum silver roof. The model also gets jet black alloy wheels and silver skid plates at the front and rear which will enhance the exterior aesthetics of the cars, giving them a premium and upmarket appeal. The car also gets ‘Jet’ badging on the front fenders, jet black alloy wheels, matte granite black body cladding and all four disc brakes. The Harrier Jet Edition gets a piano black grille.

Tata Harrier Interior

The Harrier Jet Edition gets dual-tone Oyster White and Granite Black interior themes. Along with this, you also get to see the bold colour dashboard, centre console and handles in this car. This includes 9D flooring, steering wheel, leather wrap, customized seats and more. The rear seats get armrests with cup holders. The new dashboard gets a carbon finish with a glossy pattern. Even the side panels of the Gear console have been given a Safari-like glossy look. Overall, the interiors look quite nice with the silver highlights. The doors of the Tata Harrier get leather and carbon finish handles. Additional storage is also available in the rear doors.

Tata Harrier Features

Its list of features includes a panoramic sunroof, dual-tone alloy wheels, an 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, wireless charging and rain-sensing wipers. Other features such as ventilated front seats, nine speakers and a six-way adjustable driver seat are offered in the top trims as well as the Jet variant. Passenger safety is ensured by Electronic Stability Program (standard across all variants), up to six airbags, ABS with EBD, Hill Hold and Hill Descent Control. Driver Attention Alert, Panic Brake Alert and After-Impact Braking have been added to the Jet variant.

Tata Harrier Variants

The Harrier is offered in seven wide trims: XE, XM, XT, XT+, XZ, XZS and XZ+. The ‘Dark’ and ‘Kaziranga’ variants as well as the new ‘Jet’ variants are exclusive to the top trim.
