Maruti Fronx Engine and Transmission
It is equipped with a 1-litre turbo-petrol Boosterjet engine (making 100PS and 148Nm) with mild-hybrid technology. It also gets the 1.2-litre Dual Jet petrol unit (makes 90PS and 113Nm) from the Baleno. The former is offered with a five-speed manual and a six-speed automatic, while the latter can be had with a five-speed manual and a five-speed AMT.
Maruti Fronx Exterior
The front profile looks completely refreshed with a new mesh grille with a chrome strip, split headlamps with eyebrow-shaped LED DRLs and a tri-element multi-reflector LED unit positioned on the chunky bumper. With all these elements, the front fascia looks quite similar to the Grand Vitara. The side profile remains unchanged except for the new alloy wheels, body cladding and roof rails.
The derriere will feature coupe-like styling with a sloping roofline and raised boot, further enhancing its SUV look. The new connected LED taillamps have vertical elements that are angled outwards and the rear bumper is also new with a prominent rear skid plate. Take a good look at the rear and you’ll be reminded of the Audi Q8 and even the Hyundai Tucson.

Maruti Fronx Interior
The cabin design of the Maruti Franks is similar to that of the Baleno, which is dressed in the burgundy-black upholstery theme of the Grand Vitara. Here, the similarities are a good thing considering the premium looks combined with the many useful features.

There is a wireless phone charging pad on the front but the rest of the features have been carried over from the Baleno. These include a nine-inch infotainment system, head-up display, cruise control, auto climate control and a 360-degree camera. Passenger safety equipment includes a 360-degree camera, six airbags, hill hold assist, electronic stability control (ESC), ISOFIX anchors and ABS with EBD.
Maruti Fronx Rivals
Though it doesn’t have any direct rivals, the Fox will serve as an alternative to sub-4m SUVs such as the Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300, Renault Kiger, Nissan Magnate and the Maruti Brezza.
Maruti Fronx Price
The carmaker can expect its price to start from Rs 8 lakh (ex-showroom).
Variants and Colours
It will be offered in five variants: Sigma, Delta, Delta+, Zeta and Alpha. Maruti Fronx is available in 9 different colours – Blue (Celestial), Arctic White, Splendid Silver, Grandeur Grey, Earthen Brown, Opulent Red, Earthen Brown with Black Roof, Splendid Silver with Black Roof, Opulent with Black Roof Red.
