Tata Motors today introduced its new EV concept car Tata Curvv EV car. According to the company’s official website, Tata’s new electric car is named Tata CURVV EV. This car is bigger than all 4-meter cars. Tata has built it on the re-engineered X1 platform, which the company has named the Gen 2 architecture. This new electric car from Tata Motors will be equipped with many advanced features. Even modern features like an advanced sunroof will also be seen in it. Shailesh Chandra, Managing Director, Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Limited said, “We are extremely happy to announce the start of the new financial year and a new beginning with a new ‘promise’. It is a completely new ‘concept’ and a new ‘design’. It’s all put together in this great electric SUV concept, the CURVV.

Tata CURVV EV Specifications

The teaser video of the upcoming Tata Electric SUV concept reveals that it will get sharp lines and design elements like front fog light structure, the rear section of C pillar and even nice headlights throughout the car, which will give it an aggressive look. The curved design of this new car will attract a lot of customers. The concept image of the new car shows that it will get bigger boot space. The concept is definitely a big step up from Tata’s existing range and design language.

Battery and range

The concept is moving towards the CURVV SUV Generation 2 architecture. The company had promised a proven range of over 250 km in the first generation model and now in the second generation products, we will offer a driving range of 400-500 km with fast charging option. That is, you can cover a distance of 500 km on a single charge. The Tata Curve will likely have a battery pack that will be bigger than Nexon’s 30.2kWh battery. The product will also have technologically advanced features, including connected features for seamless connection with the outside world.

Interiors and features

The new Tata Curvv Electric SUV gets a panoramic sunroof, a floating centre console layout, a centre armrest and a rotary gear selector. The Tata Curvv EV also flaunts a sculpted, three-layer dashboard with a clean, minimalist design throughout the cabin. Other elements include two free-standing digital screens for the instrument cluster and the infotainment system respectively. The electric offering on the Tata Curvv Electric SUV also gets a coupe-style roofline and some great roof rails under the wheel covers to reduce drag and increase the range. In this concept, the EV, rear windscreen, and roof of the coupe are visible on top of the electric SUV. At the same time, the rear spoiler curve of this SUV looks like.

This car will be more popular than Nexon EV

Tata says that the Tata CURVV is a powerful SUV. It is developed on the basis of the Sierra concept SUV, which was showcased during the Auto Expo in 2020. The design has been further developed to finalize the CURVV concept. Upon launch, the Tata Concept CURVV will be more popular than the Nexon in the brand’s SUV line-up in India.

Launch and price

The Tata Curvv company can be launched in late 2023 or early 2024. This car will be placed above the Tata Nexon EV in the company’s portfolio. The electric SUV is expected to be priced from Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom).
