Tata Nexon EV


Tata Nexon EV is the first electric vehicle to have Ziptron EV technology. The Nexon EV is also the first domestic pure electric compact SUV. Tata claims that its driving range is 437 km. The home charger that comes with the car takes about 8 hours to fully charge the battery. Whereas DC fast-charging technology charges the Nexon EV’s battery from 0 to 80 per cent in just 56 minutes.

MG ZS EV


The British MG brand offers a premium EV, which is counted as one of the top electric cars in India. MG ZS EV is giving you some more features along with more range and its battery range will also be better. The MG ZS will be equipped with the newly developed MG iSMART connectivity system. The MG ZS EV can go up to 461 km on a full charge. There will be 5 ways to charge the car in total with the onboard charging cable. The battery has an 8-year warranty.
The price of MG ZS EV starts from Rs. 22.00 lakhs and goes up to Rs. 25.88 lakhs.
Mercedes-Benz EQS


The Mercedes EQS is the second all-electric offering from Mercedes-Benz in India. Notably, the Mercedes EQS was the first luxury electric car in the country. Germany’s leading automaker aims to keep its price low. The electric luxury sedan features an all-wheel drivetrain (AWD) with a motor powered by a 107.8kWh battery pack. There is a claimed 857km range by ARAI on a single charge. It can extend its battery from 10 to 80 per cent in just 30 minutes.
The EQS electric sedan ranges between Rs 1.55 Cr to 2.45 Cr (ex-showroom pan-India).
Volvo XC40 Recharge


Volvo’s first electric vehicle, the XC40 Recharge, is pretty cool. The XC40 is a new car in the luxury electric vehicle segment in the Indian market. The Volvo XC40 offers recharge with a dual motor setup with 408PS and 660Nm output. This electric car will travel about 418 km on a single full charge. It can accelerate to 100 kmph from a standstill in 4.9 seconds. It is sold in India through the Completely Built Unit (CBU) model.
The electric SUV is priced at Rs 55.90 lakh (ex-showroom).
Kia EV6


Kia introduced its electric vehicle line-up with the stylish, premium crossover, the EV6. The Kia EV6 is powered by a 77.4kWh battery pack. Drivetrain options include both rear and all-wheel. The battery range of the Kia EV6 can last up to 528 km on a single charge. The EV6 is compatible with fast charging which allows the battery to be refilled from 10 to 80 per cent in 18 minutes.
The carmaker retails the electric crossover from Rs 59.95 lakh to Rs 64.95 lakh
Tata Tiago EV


The Tiago EV is the third electric car from the Tata company, apart from this it will be India’s first car in the market after the electric hatchback SUV and the electric sedan. The Tiago is the only hatchback car in the country that comes in electric variants apart from petrol and CNG. You get two battery pack options in the EV – 19.2kWh and 24kWh. The former gets a range of 250km and the latter 315km. It comes with four charging options: a 15A socket charger, a 3.3 kW AC charger, a 7.2kW AC charger, and a DC fast charger.
Tata Tiago EV retails from Rs 8.49 lakh to Rs 11.79 lakh (introductory ex-showroom).
BMW i4


The BMW i4 will be India’s first wide-range electric car. The BMW i4 car will offer the longest range of 590km. The i4 gets a 340PS/430Nm electric motor which is fed using an 83.9kWh battery pack. The 250kW DC fast charger can top up the sedan’s battery in about 30 minutes. Whereas the 11kW Home Wall Box Charger will take around 8.5 hours to fully charge
The carmaker has priced the all-electric sedan at Rs 69.9 lakh
Porsche Taycan


The Porsche Taycan is sold in two trims: the Saloon (Standard, 4S, Turbo and Turbo S) and the Cross Turismo (4S, Turbo and Turbo S). The Taycan gets two battery pack options depending on the variant. The battery range of the Porsche Taycan can last up to 400km on a single charge. It takes 2.8 seconds to 5.4 seconds to go from 0 to 100 speed.
The Taycan has priced from Rs 1.5 crore (ex-showroom) onwards.
Hyundai Kona


Equipped with an advanced Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM), the Kona Electric is considered to be one of the best electric vehicles in India. The Hyundai Kona Electric is powered by a 39.2kWh battery pack, which is mated to an electric motor producing 136PS and 395Nm of output. It has an ARAI-tested range of 452 km and takes just 9.7 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph. Hyundai Kona comes with three charging options.
The Kona Electricโs price ranges from Rs 23.84 lakh to Rs 24.03 lakh
Audi e-Tron


Audi e-Tron GT is the most powerful and luxurious electric car in India, which is packed with sporty looks and great features along with great speed and battery range. The Audi e-Tron is sold in two trims. The top speed of the Audi e-Tron is up to 245 kmph. Two battery packs are available in the SUV. The two battery packs offer a range of 359-484km and 264-379km respectively.
Audi has priced the e-Tron between Rs 1.01 crore and Rs 1.19 crore
