The country’s leading vehicle manufacturer Tata Motors is currently the largest EV manufacturer selling electric vehicles in the country. Tata Motors may soon launch another electric car in India. Tata Motors is preparing to launch the Tata Punch EV model soon. The Punches SUV is the second best-selling model from Tata Motors in the country. Tata Motors currently has the largest number of electric car models with popular models such as the Tata Tigor EV, Tata Tiago EV and the Tata Nexon EV. Now the company can introduce Tata Punch EV and Tata Altroz EV models at Auto Expo 2023.

Tata Punch EV Battery pack and Range

Tata Punch EV will be based on the ALFA platform, Altroz is also based on the same platform. The ALFA platform has been adapted to multiple body styles and ICE, electric and hybrid powertrains. It is also expected that the Punches EV will be powered by the Ziptron electric powertrain that powers the Tiago and Tigor EVs. Coming to the battery pack, the Punch EV could come with two battery pack options, offering a range of around 300 km to 350 km.

Tata Punch EV Interior and Feature

The interior of the Punch EV will also be equipped with the design and features of the ICE model. You will get a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, dual front airbags, a semi-digital instrument cluster, ABS with EBD, cruise control, auto climate control and more. The electric punch could also get multi-mode regenerative braking, leather upholstery and a few other extras.

Tata Punch EV Exterior

The exterior of the Tata Punch will look largely similar to the ICE-powered variant, with split headlights, a concave bonnet, a slim grille and a contrasting black bumper with a large air dam that will give the micro-SUV a chunky front profile. The blacked-out pillars and sides of the roofline, the rear door handles on the C-pillar and the 16-inch wheels give the Punch a purposeful stance. The rear tailgate is much simpler than the front and side profile but still gets circular taillights with tri-arrow LED elements.

Tata Punch EV Safety

The safety net could include dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors and a rearview camera.

Tata Punch EV Rivals

The Punches EV will rival the Citroen eC3 and will be an affordable alternative to the Nexon EV Prime.

Tata Punch EV Price

Since the price of ICE Punch ranges from Rs 6 lakh to Rs 9.54 lakh (ex-showroom), the starting price of Electric Punch could be around Rs 12 lakh (ex-showroom).
