The Hyundai company sells its only electric SUV in the Indian market, the Kona. The new Hyundai Ionic 5 coming as an electric crossover car will not have to wait much anymore. Hyundai may plan to launch the Ioniq 5 in India by the end of 2022. Hyundai has introduced the Ioniq 5 with two battery pack options. A 350kW DC charger can juice up both of the EV’s battery options from 0 to 80 per cent in less than 18 minutes.

BYD Atto 3


Popular Chinese electric vehicle maker BYD is trying to expand its portfolio in India. Last year BYD launched its electric MPV BYD E6 and now the company is all set to launch its new electric SUV BYD Atto 3 in the coming time. The electric SUV has been designed on the new e-platform. BYD has used a 60.48kWh battery pack in this electric SUV. This car can run up to 420 km on a single charge. The new BYD Atto 3 is expected to launch by the end of 2022.

Mercedes-Benz EQA


Let us tell you that Mercedes has launched its first electric car EQC in India. Mercedes-Benz has taken the wraps off its EQA all-electric SUV. Skoda Enyaq iV


Skoda Company has unveiled its Skoda Enyaq iV. The Enyaq iV was introduced by the company as a concept at the Geneva Motor Show last year. Enyaq iV is equipped with many great features. The Enyaq iV beats many existing models in terms of range. It gets a choice of three battery packs: 52kWh, 58kWh and 77kWh. The battery of the Skoda Enyaq iV can be recharged from 5 to 80 per cent in 38 minutes with a 125kW fast charger. Skoda Enyaq iV is expected to be launched by January 2023.

Mahindra XUV400 EV


Mahindra & Mahindra is all set to introduce its new electric car Mahindra XUV400 in the Indian market and there is a huge craze for it. According to the new information that has surfaced recently, the Mahindra XUV400 can get an electric sunroof as well as advanced safety features. The XUV400 EV is powered by a 39.4kWh battery with an ARAI-certified range of 456 km. Mahindra XUV400 can be fully charged in six hours and 30 minutes with the 7.2kW charger. Mahindra will launch the XUV400 in January 2023.

Volvo C40 Recharge


In recent times, Swedish car maker Volvo has also started its electric journey. The Volvo carmaker has shared its plans to introduce its second electric vehicle, the Volvo C40 Recharge, in the Indian market by 2023. The company has manufactured this electric car at Volvo’s manufacturing plant in Ghent, Belgium. The company will bring this car to India through the CBU (Fully Built-up) route. The C40 recharge also gets a 78kWh battery pack, which has a WLTP-claimed range of 420km. It can support up to 150kW of fast charging to juice the battery from 0 to 80 per cent in just 40 minutes. It may go on sale by July 2023.

BMW i7


BMW is planning to launch a new sedan, which is the BMW i7. The company has also released a new teaser of this electric car. It is claimed to be the world’s first all-electric luxury sedan. The i7 will be offered as a high-performance, dual-electric limo with an output of 544PS and 745Nm, powered by a 101.7kWh battery pack. It has a WLTP-certified range of 625km. With a 195kW charger, its battery can be charged from 10 to 80 per cent in 34 minutes. The BMW i7 will be put on sale in India till January 2024.

Tata Sierra
