Volvo Motors launch a new electric SUV Volvo EX90

In the last three years, if seen in the market the whole world, there has been a revolution regarding electric vehicles. At present, there is no city in the world that has remained untouched by the wave of electric vehicles. And this is the reason why all the big and small automobile companies of the world, who were making fuel vehicles till now, are now focusing on making electric vehicles segment keeping in mind the demand of people for EV vehicles. The famous auto company Volvo Motors, which has made its mark all over the world, has now entered the electric vehicle and in this series, the company has launched another great vehicle.

Volvo Flagship EX90 Electric SUV

Volvo has introduced its new flagship electric SUV Volvo EX90 in India. This SUV is the third car in the Volvo Electric Series. The company has made this electric SUV with an attractive design, hi-tech features and long range. The company says that the latest electric car is surrounded by an ‘invisible shield of safety. So let’s know without delay the complete details of this SUV.

Volvo EX90 Range, Performance and Battery

Volvo’s flagship electric SUV packs a 111kWh battery pack that is good for 600km per charge (as per WLTP). It comes with a dual-motor AWD setup as standard and the range-topping variant will make 408PS of power. The battery may support 250kW fast charging, which boosts it from 10 to 80 per cent in about half an hour. Another way of looking at it is that it can achieve a range of 180 km in 10 minutes at peak charge capacity.

Volvo EX90 Exterior

Talking about the design of the all-new Volvo electric SUV gets a closed panel with the Volvo badge above the large air dam and a diagonal line that encircles the front bumper. It gets flush door handles and 22-inch five-spoke alloy wheels. There are some creases on the edges. At the rear, it still features the Volvo-styled taillamp elements that extend past the rear windscreen to the roof. The lower edge appears to be raised at the rear which is good for better airflow as well as better departure angles.

While the layout of the EX90’s interior may appear minimalistic and simple in design, it is packed with technology. Volvo has ditched the physical buttons, with most functions such as navigation, phone data and media now controlled via a large portrait-style touchscreen using operating software developed by Google. The driver gets an attractive widescreen display that shows only the most relevant information. Its steering wheel comes with touch controls. The AC vents are integrated into the wide split across the dashboard.

Volvo has also equipped this electric SUV with high-tech features along with a long range and attractive design. The electric SUV is equipped with a LIDAR system with a detection range of up to 250 metres. It has a Google-based info system with many features like a 360-degree camera, radar, a large 14.5-inch touchscreen infotainment display, Google Assistant, and Google Maps. Along with new features, this electric SUV has 5G connectivity for the internet, a premium panoramic sunroof, smartphone-connected technology

Volvo EX90 Launch and Price

It is likely to come to India by 2024. The company can launch the Volvo EX90 in the market with an initial price of Rs 1.5 crore.
