The month of November is going to be special for the auto sector as a new car is going to hit the market this month. The name of this car is Honda WR-V 2023. The WR-V 2023 is built on the platform of the fourth-generation city car. Let us tell you that the new generation Honda WR-V subcompact SUV has been unveiled on November 2. The 2023 Honda WR-V is first previewed at last year’s GIAAS edition in the style of the Honda RS concept. Its upcoming model in India will be built on the same platform on which the Honda Amaze is built.
Honda WR-V Engine & Transmission
Internationally, it has a 1.5-litre petrol engine that comes from Honda City, making 121PS and 145Nm. The unit is mated to a CVT (automatic transmission) as standard. A 6-speed manual and 7-speed automatic transmission can be given with this engine.
Honda WR-V Exterior
The new WR-V’s front end looks sportier and blockier, with its straight nose particularly accentuated by the sharp lines on the top edge of the grille. The WR-V gets halogen headlamps similar to the India-spec Amaze sedan. The LED fog lamps on the Honda WR-V are housed in a sporty cladding at each corner of the front bumper. The top-spec WR-V looks quite premium in profile and the top trim gets a blacked-out finish for the roof and pillars. The side profile of the new WR-V features new 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels and black wheel arch cladding.

The rear-end styling of the new WR-V is similar to that of a typical mass-market Honda model. It has a chunky rear bumper, the lower half of which is made up of cladding. The rake of the rear windscreen is quite sporty with a roof-integrated spoiler. The rear skid plate adds to the sportiness along with its visual ruggedness. The Honda WR-V LED taillamps get the inverted L-shape light signature.
Honda WR-V Interior

The RS-trim of the new WR-V gets an all-black cabin with red accents. The dashboard design, AC vents, steering wheel and other bits are shared with the India-spec Honda Amaze. The Honda WR-V is equipped with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity. It has an analogue dial as well as an instrument cluster and a 4.2-inch TFT display in the middle. The WR-V RS variant gets black leather seat upholstery with red stitching. Its rear seats can be split at 60:40, and offer adjustable headrests for all three occupants.

Honda’s new generation WR-V may get some features from the Indonesian model such as a seven-inch touchscreen system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, push-button start-stop and Auto AC. Its safety net is expected to include adaptive cruise control, ABS with EBD, and electronic stability control (ESP). Apart from this, ADAS features like lane keeps assisting, six airbags, road departure mitigation, auto high beam and the automatic emergency braking are also available in the international model.
