Ford has unveiled the 2024 iteration of the Mustang for global markets. The muscle car will be offered in either a coupe or convertible avatar. The exterior and interior of the seventh-generation vehicle undergo several visual changes. Ford introduced the seventh chapter of its iconic Mustang sports car with an updated yet recognizable look, updated chassis components, an entirely new interior and two upgraded powertrains.

Ford has offered the 2024 Mustang two engine options: a 2.3-litre turbocharged EcoBoost engine and a 5-litre naturally aspirated V8. Both the engines of the Mustang 2024 are mated to a six-speed manual and an optional 10-speed automatic transmission. The former is said to have better efficiency, while the latter is a power-focused unit with a targeted output of over 480PS.

The all-new Mustang still has some of the iconic stylings from its predecessor, but now with a more chiselled and modern look. As an added feature, Ford gave the seventh generation Mustang Animated Welcome Lighting to greet drivers on their arrival, and upon entry, the Mustang splash screen came alive. The seventh-generation Mustang features a 12.4-inch digital driver display, a 13.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Bang & Olufsen sound system, a wireless phone charger, an overhead USB port, and a built-in Amazon Alexa. Ford Mustang has adaptive cruise control, speed signal recognition, lane centring assist, remote start and stop, pothole mitigation, steer assist and reverse brake assist as some of its safety features.
Launch and Price
Its launch can happen in India sometime in 2024. 2024 Mustang price is expected to start at Rs.80 lakh (ex-showroom).
