Sweden's leading automaker Volvo is preparing to launch the electric avatar of its new SUV XC40 in India.

The company had launched this electric SUV in the international market last year. It is a fully electric car from a Chinese-owned Swedish carmaker.

The XC40 is a new car in the luxury electric vehicle segment in the Indian market. The company will recharge the new Volvo XC40 at its production plant in Belgium.

The Volvo XC40 Recharge is based on its Compact Modular Architecture (CMA) which is also used in regular SUVs.

Talking about the price, the Volvo XC40 Recharge can be offered in India with a starting price of Rs 75 lakhs.
